The diversion -- a window screen

I happened to have most of a roll of quite stiff fencing left over from my attempts to protect my avocado trees from the dogs.
I also have a bolt cutter. One of my smartest purchases.
So I cut a piece of the fencing to the shape of the van's side window, but a bit larger. I opened the van door, put the fencing against the open window (with tabs to hold it to the armrest and handles) and shut the door. Click to see
Yes, it did scratch the inside of the door a little. I should have been more careful. But this van is almost 10 years old, and it already has a few scratches. It doesn't mind a few more.
I'll just leave it where it is for a while and see how it works before I make one for the driver's side window. I don't have to open that door very often since the dogs enter and exit through the rear doors.
I can easily crank the window open and shut without disturbing the fence. Yes, a crank window. Just the way I like it.
